We’ve been adding up some of the monies raised to date, with a big thank you to Boo’s grandparents for collecting from their friends. Mark’s employer, Johnson Matthey, offers match funding up to £1,000 so they have donated £500 for each charity which has given our totals raised a significant boost.
The total raised so far for Cancer Research UK is £1,265.94, which with gift aid is £1312.19, meaning that we have raised 66% of our target. This works out as £1.38 for every mile we pedal for Cancer Research UK. We will continue to collect throughout our journey, and have collection tins in offices and Mark’s old school in Shropshire so hopefully that will boost our total.
The total raised so far for Zoë’s Place Coventry is £1,230.05, which with gift aid is £1285.05 meaning that we have raised 64% of our target. This works out as £1.35 for every mile we pedal for Zoë’s Place. We will continue to collect throughout our journey, and have collection tins in Kenilworth at The Tree House Bookshop and Angels Hair and Beauty Salon. There is even a tin on the reception desk at the Warwick University Sports Centre so hopefully that will boost our total.
Every mile pedalled is now raising £2.73 for our charities. Please help us make that £4.21 a mile so that we can reach our target of £2,000 for each charity.
