A Day at The Almanack

Mark and Boo pedalled to The Almanack in Kenilworth this morning, a little later than we had planned, and enjoyed a bacon muffin apiece before setting up Double Trouble on rollers.

They are going to pedal 80 miles and intend changing the settings on the turbo trainer every 10 miles to increase the resistance and make it feel a bit more like some of the hills they will face in two weeks time. Today should give them a chance to talk to people about their LEJOG plans, and raise some money for Cancer Research UK and Zoe’s Place in Coventry.

They’ve already had a second breakfast and are making comments about needing some toast (with honey for Boo, marmalade or marmite for Mark) if they reach 25 miles before 11am.

I just hope they don’t expect me to keep them provided with coffee and milkshake when they are riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats!
